Hello everyone! I’m sorry I haven’t been able to post! I have been so busy this summer with… you’ll never guess… a JOB AT CEDAR POINT!! This summer, I applied and received a job in the Admissions department, and so far, it has been an amazing experience and I would love to do it again next year. So, I am definitely looking to post more things about Cedar Point, starting with this post, where I will be telling you what to get and what not to get as an extension onto your ticket. Let’s get into it, shall we?
There are a few different options of things you can get added onto your ticket, but this is a quick disclaimer: these add ons DO NOT include admission into the park. Yes, Fastlane Plus may be $220 that day, but that doesn’t include the cost to get into the park. I have had plenty of people come up to me with a Fastlane pass and try to get to the park, but get turned away to tickets where you will end up paying more money there than if you were to have gotten tickets online or in the app. Please keep that in mind when you are coming to the park because it will end up making it easier for you to quickly get into the park.
Fastlane and Fastlane Plus: I would say that these are two things that are very worth it purchasing, especially if it is a pretty crowded day. But, keep in mind that we do sell out of these wristbands and if the crowds are very large, you may end up paying over 200$ for a wait that isn’t much shorter than the standby line. Of course, it still can be worth it on those types of days depending on when you go on certain rides. Personally, if you see the parking lot more than halfway full but not all the way, you should definitely consider purchasing it because it will be able to be used the right way. I definitely recommend getting this add on!
Meal/Drink Plans: There are a few different options of meal and drink plans, and here are each of them and if I would recommend or not.
All Day Dining Plan: I would DEFINITELY recommend this add on! It is a cheaper add on, and you will end up saving money if you use it right. Every 90 minutes, you will be able to go to the participating locations around the park and get an entree and a side. In my opinion, this is a great way to save money! You end up saving money on food, because after getting around 2 meals, you already have paid for the whole price of the dining plan plus, if you decide to stay and maybe want to get more food to share as snacks, you end up not having to pay for a whole meal. This is definitely an option to consider.
Single Meal Deal: This deal, however, I don’t feel is as worth it as the All Day Dining. It is about the same price, if not more, as a regular meal and it can only be used one time. I think you would be better off getting the all day dining, it will end up saving you more money than this option.
All Day Drink Plan: If you are a ticket holder, this is the only option of a drink plan, but I do highly recommend it! It can get pretty hot on sunny days in Sandusky, so I definitely recommend getting this to keep you and your family cool. You can either get the wristband, which is great for coaster riders who don’t want to get a locker, as you just get a disposable cup every 15 minutes. There is also a souvenir bottle option, that is bigger and you get to keep as a trinket from your visit. Both are great and worth the price!
All Season Drink Plan: This is the option for season pass holders, where you can get drinks all year round by just showing your pass or souvenir cup! I personally think that the season pass option is the best, as you just have to show your pass and you get a disposable cup, and you don’t have to remember to bring your cup every time you come to the park. This option is also very much worth the price, and it is a great idea!
Funpix: This is a good option if you are going just one day and want to remember it by seeing your ride photos. I personally wouldn’t get it for all year, it just seems like a dumb way to spend your money for a bunch of crazy looking photos.
Preferred Parking: I’m adding this because it is technically an add on for your parking ticket, and also because I DEFINITELY THINK IT IS WORTH IT! If it is a crowded day at the park, instead of having to go all the way to the back of the parking lot and walking to the park, you are already at the front of the lot by the gates! It is 10$ extra, so if you already bought parking or have a season pass, you can get this for 10$ or 30$ if you are paying for parking at the tolls. Since I have worked at the tolls booth before, I definitely think you should get this because it will help you out at the end of the day!
This is my full list of recommendations of things to get at the park, and I for sure think that most of these options are worth it and will make the trip better for you and your family! I hope to see you guys at Cedar Point soon!
