Disney World Transportation

Disney world hosts a unique variety of different types of transportation, and you may choose your Disney Resort based on the types of transportation they have. Let me tell you all about it.

-Bus: Every Disney Resort has the option of using the bus to the parks and Disney Springs. This air-conditioned bus normally takes a little while to arrive at certain destinations, so be prepared to spend quite a bit of time waiting at the bus stop.

-Monorail: The monorail is the most signature type of Disney transportation. This was known as the ‘transportation of the future.’ The monorail only goes to select resorts, which are the Contemporary, Grand Floridian, and Polynesian Village. It goes from those resorts to Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

-Boat: There are many different boat services at Disney World, and a good amount of the resorts have the option of boat service. Port Orleans, Saratoga Springs, and Old Key West have boat service to Disney Springs. Swan and Dolphin, Yacht & Beach, and Boardwalk Inn have boat service to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Polynesian Village, Wilderness Lodge, the Contemporary, and Grand Floridian all have boat service to Magic Kingdom.

-Skyliner: This is the newest type of transportation. Available at Caribbean Beach, Riviera, Pop Century, and Art of Animation. The gondola system goes to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
