One of the best parts of Universal’s Harry Potter World, is getting a wand and being able to cast spells all over the land. That honestly made the land something I have never seen before, something that no one else could recreate. Here is your guide to everything you need to know about the wands at HPW.
-Where do I get one?: There are a few places you can get one. At a few of the gift shops outside of HPW will have the character wands, like Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Dumbledore, etc. There are Ollivanders in both parks, so it doesn't really matter where you are. Ollivanders will have character wands, and there are the wands that are not based on any characters, which both are able to be part of the interactive spells. If you forget to get a character one at the parks, you can actually get one at the Orlando Airport.
-Why should I get one?: There are SOO many reasons why you should get a wand! First of all, like I have mentioned before, there are interactive experiences around the lands. There are more spells that you can try in Diagon Alley, but Hogsmeade has some pretty cool ones. The spells are so fun, and there are so many things you can do, like shoot water out of a fountain, control a skeleton in Knockturn Alley, make rain fall out of an umbrella, make a feather levitate, and even make lights turn on in a shop! Second, this is a pretty awesome souvenir for any wizards and witches. Especially the experience of choosing your wand, rather the wand choosing you, is something you won’t forget.
